Our Mission Statement
Carol Cares, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for women who are victims of domestic violence and experiencing homelessness.
Our women are safely housed at Carol Cares, Inc. safe haven, "House of Virtuous Women". Our goal is to protect and provide immediate assistance to survivors of dometic violence who are transitioning from "House of Virtuous Women" to independent living. We will assist them in locating safe permanent housing within and outside the state, as well as offer a host of on and off site supportive services.
"House of Virtuous Women" safe haven will provide the women opportunities to rebuild their lives. Survivors of domestic violence may experience physical and psychological ramifications including homelessness. The scar of domestic violence that women suffer runs deep. The trauma of what women suffer at the hands of their abuser stay with them loing after they escape from the abusive situation. Carol Cares, Inc.'s qualified staff will conduct needed services 24 hours 7 days a week. There will be individual and group counseling, domestic violence education, legal services advocacy and links to financial and medical assistance.
